Chapter 2 Dear Diary,                                 It’s very hot on this island. We was having a meeting and trying to decide what to do to get rescued. We had a meeting and we thought about making a fire on top of the mountain. We was planning on the smoke from the fire to be a signal to people to notice and rescue us. So we built a fire out of leaves, twigs, logs, etc.   I had so many ideas but they all was ignoring me. I had the conch in my hand but they still didn’t listen so I got mad. I told everyone what we should do and then they finally listened when I was mad. Ralph was mad at me because he gave me one job to get the names from the little ones. He doesn’t understand that there was to many little ones to keep track of and they were out of control.   I think in the next chapter Jack, Ralph, and Simon are going to try to find shelter for everyone and take action and not listen to me Piggy. I think we should stay together and have everyone assigned a job. Some try

Conch shell The conch shell symbolizes civilization. It is important because it makes noises like a trumpet and it draws the kids together. The person that is talking uses it. The conch shell is used during a meeting and   when someone has something to say they hold the conch so no one else talks and interrupts them.      

Chapter 1 Dear Diary   I was put on a plane from a boarding school I went to in England. I was sent somewhere on a plane because of a world war that was going on. Me and a group of boys were on the plane to wherever we were going. There was a storm going on and all of a sudden the plane crashed. I saw the front of the plane catch on fire. When the plane crashed it was only us that survived none of the grownups they all died.   When we got out of the plane we were on an island. There was only me and one other boy. I asked him what his name was and he said it was Ralph. I told him I didn't want him to call me what other people called me in school. He asked what they called me so I asked him to promise not to tell anyone and I told him they called me piggy. He started laughing and I was getting upset. We started to look around the island for the other boys and somewhere to stay. We were looking in the water and found a conch.   We found a conch and started to blow in it and mad

D-Day Journal: William Golding was affected by being part of D-Day by seeing all of his people on his side die. A lot of people was sea sick and most of them that ate and jumped in the water because they were sea sick almost drowned in the water. The Germans had great machine guns one of the greatest and fastest ones in the world. Many people died for their believe. If we didn't fight in D-Day we probably would have lost WW2. Golding questioned the goodness of mankind because some people are just evil and are not good. They only want what's best for them and no one else. I think man is born with goodness and learns to be barbaric. People are born with goodness because God made us all equal and good at heart but people become evil and they teach other people that.
