Final Blog Entry

  I looked up and saw a naval officer standing over me. I was relieved and happy someone saw the jungle fire and came to see what was going on. The naval officer started to ask different kinds of questions and expected more of us because we are from England. The others came onto the island and walked over to the naval officer. We all started to sob so the naval officer gave us some space.

  What happened was our plane crashed onto an island. The pilot died so it was just us kids trapped on the island. We had to figure things out like where we would sleep, how we would get food, who is in charge, etc. our group was split when some things didn’t go how Jack wanted things to go. Jack and his hunters hunted for food and then he was hunting for me. A few people died like Simon and Piggy. It was horrible and they didn’t deserve to die.

  After we were sobbing for a while we got our act together and went back with the naval officer. We went on the ship and was on our way back home to England. We sailed off right away and we were happy. Some boys got sea sick including myself. We were on the boat for days and finally we arrived to England. I was so happy and nervous to be back home but I really want to see my family.

  The naval officer stayed and took every person to their home. Everyone’s parents were alive and we were so happy and blessed nothing happened to our parents. Our parents were worried sick about us and asked what happened because we were all dirty, tired, scratched up. My parents and I started to cry when we saw each other. We never knew if we would be able to see each other again but we did and I was blessed. The sad thing we had to do was tell Simon’s and Piggy’s parents they didn’t make it.

  Everyone is hating on Jack for what had happened on the island. We go to the police and tell them everything. Jack was charged for murdering innocent people and the rest of us had to do community service for what we did. Jack was in jail for 5 years and went to court to see if he could get a parolee but he could not. 5 years passed Jack was released and he was doing better. We all got together and became close friends and tried to forget what happened on the island.

Chapter 3 Huts on the Beach Dear Diary   We are on the island. It is so hot and we are starving. A pig evades Jack through the thick jungle and it irritates him so he walks back to the beach. He finds Ralph and Simon working on huts to build for the younger boys to live in. Ralph gets mad because the huts are keep breaking and no one will help him except for Simon.   Jack and Ralph argue about different things and one of them is that Jack’s hunters can’t catch any pigs. I was watching everyone do things especially Jack, Ralph, and Simon. I gave up helping out with the huts after we first tried it. I sat back and relaxed and tried to stay cool in this hot weather. Ralph and Jack went swimming in the lagoon and tried not to be mad at each other but that didn’t work.   I think in the next chapter Ralph and Jack are still going to be arguing with each other. Chapter 1 Dear Diary   I was put on a plane from a boarding school I went to in England. I was sent somewhere on a plane because of a world war that was going on. Me and a group of boys were on the plane to wherever we were going. There was a storm going on and all of a sudden the plane crashed. I saw the front of the plane catch on fire. When the plane crashed it was only us that survived none of the grownups they all died.   When we got out of the plane we were on an island. D-Day Journal: William Golding was affected by being part of D-Day by seeing all of his people on his side die. A lot of people was sea sick and most of them that ate and jumped in the water because they were sea sick almost drowned in the water. The Germans had great machine guns one of the greatest and fastest ones in the world. Many people died for their believe. If we didn't fight in D-Day we probably would have lost WW2. Golding questioned the goodness of mankind because some people are just evil and are not good. They only want what's best for them and no one else. I think man is born with goodness and learns to be barbaric. People are born with goodness because God made us all equal and good at heart but people become evil and they teach other people that.
