Chapter 12

Dear Diary

  Ralph is hiding in the jungle. He is thinking about the deaths of Simon and me. Ralph comes across the Lord of the Flies head which is just a white skull now as white as the conch shell was. Being angry he knocks the head to the ground and uses stake to use as a weapon against Jack. Ralph meets up with Sam n Eric and they tell Ralph Jack plans to send the tribe after him. The boys try to go after Ralph but he fends them off. Ralph realizes he set the jungle on fire and leaves his hiding place and fights his way from Jack and the hunters. Ralph is finally on the beach. He looks up and sees a naval officer standing over him. Ralph and the others realizes they are being rescued and they start to cry.

  I felt nervous when Ralph was being hunted by Jack and his hunters. I was praying and looking over Ralph through it all especially when the fire started. I am very glad Ralph made it out of the jungle alive and made it on the beach. I had tears of joy when Ralph saw the naval officer there to rescue him and Jack and his hunters.

Chapter 3 Huts on the Beach Dear Diary   We are on the island. It is so hot and we are starving. A pig evades Jack through the thick jungle and it irritates him so he walks back to the beach. He finds Ralph and Simon working on huts to build for the younger boys to live in. Ralph gets mad because the huts are keep breaking and no one will help him except for Simon.   Jack and Ralph argue about different things and one of them is that Jack’s hunters can’t catch any pigs. I was watching everyone do things especially Jack, Ralph, and Simon. I gave up helping out with the huts after we first tried it. I sat back and relaxed and tried to stay cool in this hot weather. Ralph and Jack went swimming in the lagoon and tried not to be mad at each other but that didn’t work.   I think in the next chapter Ralph and Jack are still going to be arguing with each other. Chapter 1 Dear Diary   I was put on a plane from a boarding school I went to in England. I was sent somewhere on a plane because of a world war that was going on. Me and a group of boys were on the plane to wherever we were going. There was a storm going on and all of a sudden the plane crashed. I saw the front of the plane catch on fire. When the plane crashed it was only us that survived none of the grownups they all died.   When we got out of the plane we were on an island. There was only me and one other boy. I asked him what his name was and he said it was Ralph. I told him I didn't want him to call me what other people called me in school. He asked what they called me so I asked him to promise not to tell anyone and I told him they called me piggy. He started laughing and I was getting upset. D-Day Journal: William Golding was affected by being part of D-Day by seeing all of his people on his side die. A lot of people was sea sick and most of them that ate and jumped in the water because they were sea sick almost drowned in the water. The Germans had great machine guns one of the greatest and fastest ones in the world. Many people died for their believe. If we didn't fight in D-Day we probably would have lost WW2. Golding questioned the goodness of mankind because some people are just evil and are not good. They only want what's best for them and no one else. I think man is born with goodness and learns to be barbaric. People are born with goodness because God made us all equal and good at heart but people become evil and they teach other people that.
